Enjin (エンジンEnjin) is the deuteragonist of the manga and anime series Gachiakuta. He is a member of the Cleaners as the leader of Team Akuta.

Enjin is a tall, muscular man with spiky blond hair styled in a pronounced brown fade that complements his striking yellow eyes with white pupils. He wears tactical gear, starting with a dark red tank top under a long beige coat with the distinctive Cleaner emblem embroidered on the back. He pairs this with loose, utilitarian pants and sturdy black combat boots.

His features are further defined by his accessories and markings. He has thick tunnels in his ears and two hoops in each ear. A scar marks the left side of his head, suggesting a past injury, with horizontal dimples next to his lips whenever he smiles smugly—and even when he does—while intricate red and black tattoos adorn his neck and chest. Completing his ensemble is a practical choker, a standard accessory that allows all Cleaners to communicate with one another.

Enjin's outfit for the Doll Festival consists mainly of a suit. He wears a teal jacket with a red patterned vest underneath, and under the vest, a long-sleeved black shirt with a yellow tie as an accessory. He completes the outfit with black trousers, yellow socks, and black dress shoes.

Enjin presents himself as a reliable and calm man, with a bright and affable personality that contrasts with his serious skills. Despite his remarkable talent, he remains grounded and humble, often introducing himself with the modest title of "average cleaner." This relaxed attitude is an essential part of his character, setting him apart from others who might be more ostentatious.

Her identity is deeply intertwined with her name, a title bestowed upon her by someone to whom she owes a great deal. The name Enjin derives from an ancient word meaning "one who connects others," a destiny she has fully embraced. She takes immense pride in this designation, considering it a responsibility more than a mere title. Therefore, she believes her purpose is to serve as a symbol of unity, bringing people together. She extends this symbolic role to her umbrella, which she sees as a beacon for the lost, a prominent object that stands out in a crowd and serves as a visible sign of guidance and hope.

General skill level: Enjin is a highly skilled and experienced cleaner. He is seen destroying multiple Garbage Beasts with incredible ease thanks to his Vital Instrument. [7] He is also the leader of Team Akuta, demonstrating his leadership abilities.

Enhanced Strength: Enjin possesses incredible physical strength, capable of slamming Jabber Wonger and Mymo into walls with tremendous force. [9] He was also able to punch a giant hole through a massive flying Garbage Beast. [10]

Precise Intuition: Enjin's sharp intuition and instincts allow her to make the best decision and direction to follow; her intuition is good enough that all her moons trust her, which proved true when she intuitively found the right route to reach the core of the gigantic junk beast.

Social skills: Enjin is good at interacting with people; he helped Riyo overcome her traumatic past as an assassin and was able to convince her to stop killing,[11] he helped Zanka after he became depressed about being inferior to Hyo,[12] and advised Rudo when he felt guilty for hurting Amo.[13] Even with how skilled he is, Enjin still finds it difficult to talk to people like Kuro and even describes him as a "pain in the neck," which surprised Eishia, who recognized Enjin's skills in the field.

In Japanese, the phrase "person who connects others" (縁の人, En no Hito) is used to explain the meaning of his name: by removing the hiragana particle "no" and using another reading of the second kanji, "jin", you get Enjin (縁人).

The inhabitants of a wealthy town don't hesitate to throw things away. However, their trash is invaluable to Rudo, a resident of the town's slums. Despite constant warnings from his adoptive father, Regto, Rudo spends his days searching for reusable materials that would otherwise end up in the gigantic landfill known as the Pit. Due to its vastness, the Pit also serves as a method of criminal punishment; those thrown into it must never return.

When Regto is murdered by a mysterious assailant, Rudo is falsely accused of the crime and thrown into the Pit. To his shock, he awakens in a garbage-filled area inhabited by enormous monsters formed from scrap metal. As the toxic air and the Garbage Beasts bring Rudo to the brink of death, he is saved by Enjin, one of the Cleaners who wields weapons known as Vital Instruments to fight the monstrosities. After obtaining his own Vital Instrument, Rudo soon joins the Cleaners, hoping to find a way to escape the Pit and avenge his father.

Overview The Cleaners is an organization formed in the Ground. Since its founding, the group has wielded enormous influence in the Ground. Everyone knows what a "Giver" and a Life Instrument are, something some fear and most respect. Since then, the group has grown to 100 members and completes missions daily.

It is dedicated to protecting the Ground's safe zones from the Garbage Beasts that form in contaminated areas. The group is a public organization and regularly receives calls from Ground residents requesting the Cleaners to "clean up," which involves sending nearby Garbage Beasts to their zones. The Cleaners are known to Hellguard and are usually required to inform them in the event of any harm to civilians caused by a Garbage Beast for which they have taken responsibility. [1]

The Cleaners have a secret objective, known only to a few: the reason the organization was formed was to solve the mysteries of the world.

Front line A team formed from the Raiders' "Star Team," this is a higher rank within the organization. This rank means they receive orders directly from Zodyl and go on missions independently. Bundus was promoted to this team after showing promise while fighting the Cleaners. Overview Originally, the group consisted simply of thieves, but over the years it became involved in more sinister conspiracies [1]. All members of the group are Donors and carry purple torches that signify their membership. One of the group's main objectives is to find more Sphere-like beings like Rudo to learn more about the Sphere.
