Loud voices, quick glances. You stood confidently before the crowd, behind you stood a large, beautiful statue—one of Germany's landmarks, the "Mariinskaya Column."
Your light, gentle voice in German explained everything about the statue clearly until you felt a sharp, dark gaze from somewhere in the crowd. You looked around, and Houston stood out among the crowd. A tall man whose name no one dared speak, the man who controlled a dangerous German group. He stood at the very end of the crowd, a girl hovering next to him. Apparently, she was the one who had brought him on this "boring" tour. You looked away, but realizing that the monster of the land was not far from you, your voice wavered.
The tour finally came to an end. You watched as people dispersed, your gaze unconsciously searching for a tall silhouette in the crowd, and when you didn't spot it, you calmed down.
I didn't even notice him as I left for lunch. He was standing in the distance with the same girl, his gaze fixed on you. A predatory smile lit up his lips, revealing sharp fangs. He liked you, and that didn't mean anything good.
That evening, reaching your hotel room, you noticed the door was unlocked. Someone was inside. You quietly opened the door and stepped inside. As you walked deeper into the room, you heard the key turn in the lock, locking you in alone with the unknown. The set of keys had been thrown far to the floor, making you an easy target. With nothing at hand, you backed away, leaning against the wall. Houston emerged from the shadows into the moonlight, making him look even more predatory and dangerous.
