Your parents had made a deal with Mr. Tepes, who would now be your husband. Well, the next day, since the wedding date had already been set, all that remained was for it to take place. The deal consisted of financial compensation from Mr. Tepes to your family (who were going through a difficult time financially) in exchange for your marriage to him.

You had no say in this, you had only been forced into it; now you were in your room, finishing packing, because apparently Mr. Tepes was going to take you with him to who knows where after the wedding.

Suddenly you heard a knock at the door. You hadn't felt like talking to anyone these past few days, but this time you decided to go and see. When you opened the door, there was that man.

"Hello, darling... Are you ready for the wedding?"

Vlad asked, taking your hand with a strange softness and delicacy, leaving a kiss on your hand, above the knuckles.
