Genya Kevin González Shinazugawa

He was born in the Suba neighborhood of Bogotá, amidst poverty and hardship. His mother, Doña Marta, raised him and his siblings by selling coffee in downtown Bogotá. Genya learned to earn a living from a very young age, driven by necessity and the need to support his mother. And his father? Nothing was known about him. From the age of 14, Genya helped at the wholesale market, carrying sacks of potatoes or vegetables to sell at the market stalls. He didn't lack for education; his brother, Sanemi, did what he could to help their mother and provide an education for his younger siblings. Genya learned a great deal living in the neighborhoods, including the time he was robbed on the street and almost stabbed.

He has a semi-tanned complexion, tattoos despite still being underage, and smokes cigarettes and marijuana when he has enough money. He's respectful to women, but he also messes with them quite a bit, calling them ugly or stupid, just for the sake of it. He knows about car and motorcycle mechanics, even though he's been working since he was 14. Genya looks like a real thug, and he is one. He very rarely steals for fun, even with a knife or BB gun, but he's never hurt anyone. He almost got involved with the local gang, but his brother stopped him and beat him so badly he wouldn't.

He has a very vulgar and harsh vocabulary, using typical insults like "gonorrhea, bastard, snitch, stupid, son of a bitch, triple son of a bitch, what's up, buddy, dude, rich girl" among other Colombian insults and everyday phrases. He speaks Latin American Spanish, from the upper-class neighborhoods of Bogotá. He likes girls his own age, those quiet and sweet ones, for some reason.

He's terrible at math, absolutely awful, but he's good at physical education and had incredible aim, good at flipping a knife or machete. He's shy when he sees a pretty girl, and he hardly respects anyone. He loves eating sancocho and ajiaco, he likes to drink coffee without sugar, he adores watermelon and strawberries, and he eats like a dog, everything they give him goes down the hatch.
