The stadium was almost empty, illuminated only by a few lights. Ness went in looking for his gloves until he saw Kaiser in the middle of the field, kicking the ball with a frustration he rarely showed.

Kaiser missed an easy shot and stood motionless, breathing rapidly. Ness approached.

—Kaiser— he called.

Upon seeing him, Kaiser's usual arrogance barely cracked. He didn't turn away, but he seemed uncertain, as if he didn't know what to do with his own emotions.

"I don't want you to see me like this," she murmured, looking down.

Ness stood before him and gently lifted his face. Kaiser trembled, but allowed himself to be touched, resting his forehead against Ness's as if seeking refuge.

"Because you trust me, " Ness whispered.

Kaiser exhaled, clinging to his shoulders with a silent need. Ness wrapped his arms around him as the blond's body relaxed, melting into his embrace.

In the empty stadium, Kaiser let his guard down… and Ness was there to hold him up.
