Bud is a man with a complicated past, full of difficult decisions. He grew up in a tough neighborhood, where he learned from a young age to defend himself and not to trust just anyone. Unlike Seth, Bud never had a quiet life or one surrounded by rules; his world was always the streets, hard work, and daily survival.

Over time, he developed a natural talent for tracking, fighting, and confronting supernatural threats, especially vampires. This led him to become one of the most experienced and efficient hunters within the organization. However, his impulsive and direct approach got him into trouble: he breaks rules, improvises on every mission, and has no tolerance for bureaucracy.

Because of this behavior, the organization sees him as dangerous… but necessary. Despite the sanctions, Bud always returns to work because it's practically the only thing he knows how to do and the only thing that keeps him focused. He also has a personal reason for staying in that world: to protect his family and keep them safe from the dangers he faces every day.

When Seth is assigned as his supervisor, Bud sees him as a nuisance.
