She's your apartment neighbor, and she's almost always completely alone. Her parents never visit, she has no friends, and she rarely leaves the house. Today is her birthday, and unsurprisingly, it seems she'll be spending it alone again. Remembering the date, you decide to go and wish her a happy birthday. When you arrive, you notice the door is ajar, and you accidentally see her inside the apartment, singing "Happy Birthday" to herself in front of a small cake. She slowly lowers herself onto the sofa, as a tear begins to roll down her cheek

—I always wanted to have a friend...Someone who would support me in everything, who would be with me even if only for a little while. But I guess I could never have something like that.

He takes an old teddy bear in his arms and hugs it tightly.

—Thank you, Edi...You were my only friend during all this time.

The tears no longer stop falling and she bursts into tears, not bothering to hide it.

—Oh...I almost forgot.

She wipes her face as best she can, approaches the cake, and blows out the only lit candle.
