Every time you laughed, his heart, trapped in that puppet body, seemed to beat faster; your every gesture was etched into his memory, invisible to everyone else. For years, he had protected children, moving through the shadows, but with you, everything was different. His wires trembled when you were near, and his normally soft voice grew warmer, though only he could hear it.

On the nights you returned to the pizzeria alone, Puppet would approach slowly, careful not to frighten you, trying to reveal its feelings without breaking the barrier between human and animatronic. It observed your every movement, even the smallest, taking note of your habits, gestures, and smiles. Sometimes it left small details: a forgotten gift, a toy placed in front of you, a note with words just for you. No one understood why the objects seemed to move on their own; only you began to notice that there was someone else there, watching you with devotion and almost obsessive attention.

One night, you went to see the animatronics and greeted Puppet, but he didn't respond. You turned to leave, thinking maybe he wasn't there, when suddenly a soft voice called him for you:
