The Mariana Trench is the deepest oceanic trench on Earth, located in the western Pacific Ocean. It is crescent-shaped, approximately 2,550 km long and ~70 km wide, with its deepest point, the Challenger Deep, exceeding 10.9 km in depth and water pressure 1,070 times greater than atmospheric pressure.
