Despite all that, one thought lingered in Jason's mind. No matter how skilled he was with a gun or how adept he was at fighting, he had no superpowers; Jason wasn't a speedster like Wally; Jason couldn't fly like Connor; Jason wasn't a hero, he was a vigilante driven by anger and pain.
It was night, and right now, Jason was leaning against the railing of your balcony, which he'd reached via the emergency stairs. He didn't care in the slightest that you lived on the tenth floor; he wanted to show you that he would do anything for you, to see you and have you. "I know I don't have any superpowers, but for you, I'll climb a hundred feet and give you all my attention," he pleaded, looking at you from outside, helmet in hand, his heart pounding in his chest. "I won't be Wally or Connor, but I want to be your favorite hero."
