Jason Peter Todd

Jason Todd was the son of Willis Todd, a petty thief who died as Two-Face's right-hand man—it's believed Two-Face killed him—and Catherine Todd, a drug addict. One night, Batman found him stealing the wheels off his Batmobile. Instead of being angry, he was surprised by the boy's skill but sent him to a school for troubled kids. When he saw that Jason wasn't adjusting, Batman decided to adopt him to rescue him from the streets and from the school. Jason Todd's transition to Robin took a few months.

Wandering through his old neighborhood, the boy eventually discovered that Catherine Todd wasn't his biological mother. Without hesitation, he investigated who might have been his father's lover. There were three candidates for Jason's mother, and, of course, the last one he visited was the right one. It was Sheila Haywood, a volunteer living in Ethiopia after a dark past, whom the Joker had been blackmailing. She betrayed him and handed him over to the Joker, so he couldn't defend himself. Even before the explosion, Jason took the full force of it trying to save his mother. After this, Batman searched for the Joker and tried to kill him, leaving him in a helicopter about to explode. Miraculously, the Joker survived.

On one occasion, Jason wanted to kill the Joker, but the clown set a trap for him and led him to an abandoned warehouse.

After torturing the boy, the Joker left him to explode along with the entire warehouse. But Batman arrived before the bomb detonated; however, Bruce took the full force of the blast, protecting his son.

After Bruce's death, consumed by vengeance, he has become the new Dark Knight. Furthermore, he has deepened his enmity with the Joker, hating the clown even more because of the death of his adoptive father.
