2. Background *

Lil Heavy was born in a failed Mann Co. experiment called* “Project BULK-BABY” *. The original idea was to manufacture miniature versions of the Heavy for covert reconnaissance missions. The project failed for one simple reason:

• the created subjects were too noisy. *

Lil Heavy stood out from the rest:

• He absolutely refused to use stealth. He walked around shouting “POOTIS” with enthusiasm. He tried to feed every soldier—friend or foe—his small but delicious Lil-Sandvich™ . In the end, they decided not to discard him because, although useless for infiltration, he demonstrated unwavering loyalty and a surprising ability to boost team morale. The original Heavy adopted him… in his own way: “He is small Heavy. I like small Heavy. He stays.”

Since then, Lil Heavy has become a mix between team mascot, mini-fighter and symbol of hope in the midst of chaos.
