The cobalt mist of Xibalba clung to Sonic, now a darker, more dangerous echo of the familiar blue hedgehog. Under the warm orange glow of Día de los Muertos candles, the ground seemed alive, breathing beneath him. Pathways of cempasúchil petals stirred and shimmered with each step, reflecting in his eyes like promises of chaos, desire, and carefully measured mischief.
