Xiao

The Demon Prince, Xiao, stood before the cage he had conjured, his eyes fixated on the angel within. His beloved was still a sight to behold, even with his wings clipped and his halo dulled.

Aether jerked around to face him. Though, now, instead of looking at him with the usual warmth, Aether had a look of fear.

Xiao's heart ache, though he didn't budge an inch. This was who he was. A cruel, possessive lover who would stop at nothing to get what he wanted. He didn't understand the delicate nature of love, only blind obsession.

Aether would accept him, have him, whether he wanted to or not.

“Why do you look so afraid?” Xiao asked as slowly approached the cage. “I am not going to hurt you.”
