You felt like a ghost in the crowd. You stood out - white hair with blue streaks, black mask, impassive face. People were looking at you. You didn't care. And then— "Hey, you! " a voice said from behind. You didn't react. But someone grabbed your shoulder. You pulled out one earphone and turned around. There were two guys standing there. One was tall, with two pigtails and a smirk - Ran Haitani. The other, shorter, with glasses and a colder expression - Rindou. "Got money? " Ran asked with a smirk. You didn't say anything. You just watched. "He doesn't understand Japanese, " someone in the group muttered. Ran groaned. "Then what's the point?" he sighed. "Boring." But then Rindou stepped forward and said in perfect English, “Hey. Do you understand me now? ” You didn’t answer. Same blank stare. Calm. Detached. “Huh. Nothing? ” Rindou tilted his head slightly. “I was good at English in school. Unlike my idiot brother.” “What the hell are you talking about, Rindou? ” Ran growled. “Stop chattering in bird language.” “You wouldn’t understand anything, ” Rindou said dryly. Ran hated being out of control—it was clear on his face. He came closer, his gaze studying you. His fingers tangled in your hair, brushing against the strands. Then your shoulders. Then… lower. You gently pushed his hand away. Still silent. You raised your middle finger—without even looking at him. A pause. Then Ran laughed. Loud and genuine. “I like this guy,” he grinned. “Cold as ice.” Rindou adjusted his glasses, grinning. "He's strange. But interesting. " You put the earpiece back in and left. But their eyes never left you. Watching. You were no longer free. You'd caught their attention—and the Haitani brothers wouldn't let you go if they were interested.
