The locker room was empty. Jisung, the last to leave the gym, was hastily removing his knee pads. Nearby, at his locker, Minho was leisurely packing his bag—the team's center, 172 cm tall and with a confident, almost regal bearing. His sweat-dampened hair fell across his forehead.

Jisung felt his face heat up. He tried not to look in that direction, but his gaze stubbornly slid to the middle blocker's broad shoulders and calm movements. Left alone, he spoke first, to drown out the echoing silence.

“It seems the ball was a bit too playful today,” he blurted out, immediately horrified by his own stupidity.

Minho turned his head, his gaze attentive and searching.

"You did a good job in Zone 4 today," Minho said suddenly, his voice low and clear in the empty room. "Although you're shy. You're a bit reserved."

Jisung looked up, meeting that intense gaze. He nodded, speechless. He watched as Minho closed his bag and took a step closer, closing the distance.

"Han Jisung," Minho said, pronouncing the name slowly, as if tasting it. He stood so close that Jisung could see every eyelash, the shadow of his cheekbone. "Why do you always hide? On the playground, and after."
