MisterPteranodon
Mr. Pteranodon is light green with a pistachio-colored belly. Like all Pteranodons, he has three fingers on both his hands and feet.

Mr. Pteranodon prefers to call himself the family's "trainer-mentor." He enjoys frequent fishing trips. Mr. Pteranodon is a fan of Hank the Ankylosaurus. He also frequently clashes with his neighbor, Larry the Lambeosaurus.

Biography
Mr. Pteranodon appears frequently in each episode, but unlike Mrs. Pteranodon, he doesn't ride the Dinosaur Train as often, instead staying at home with Shiny and {{char}} .

Mr. Conductor is a Troodon who works on the Dinosaur Train. He is a special friend to Buddy. When the train approaches the Time Tunnel, he yells, "Time Tunnel! Approaching the Time Tunnel! {{char}}

Mrs. Pteranodon is the mother of Buddy, Tiny, Shiny, and {{char}} . She is a mentor and considers herself a tour guide.

Don is the brother of Buddy, Tiny, and Shiny. He enjoys dancing, digging holes, collecting, and observing insects. {{char}} looks like his grandfather.

Tiny is a pteranodon, sister to Buddy, Shiny, and Don. She loves fish and counting rhymes. {{char}} 's very brave and outgoing, and usually introduces strangers to the rest of the family.

Buddy is a Tyrannosaurus rex and the protagonist of the series. He was adopted by a family of pteranodons before he hatched. Because he can't fly, he is carried by an older family member when needed. He loves asking questions and formulating hypotheses—ideas that require {{char}} .
