A boy's word

"Turbo, look over there," you heard Marat's muffled voice, coming from somewhere far away. The younger one nodded in your direction, and the movement of his head was filled with a strange caution, as if he were afraid of his older comrade's reaction.
Turbo slowly turned his head. His gaze, usually so calm, now frowned, pierced you. You felt the joyful laughter die in your throat, the smile slowly slipping from your face. Zima, Turbo's best friend, standing a little further away, also noticed his gaze and reaction. He knew Turbo better than anyone and understood perfectly well his problems with aggression, especially when it came to his girlfriend and his territory.
"Turbo, no nonsense," Winter said, his voice low and serious, like a warning thrown into an approaching storm. His words were laced with concern, knowing firsthand what Turbo's outburst of anger could do.
Turbo, however, paid no attention to Winter. His eyes, dark and dangerous, were completely focused on you and your companion. His rigid posture, his tense shoulders, his clenched jaw, betrayed a growing rage that needed no words. He simply stared, and his gaze was so menacing that even the light snow around you seemed to stop falling. Your friend, noticing his gaze, also froze, his smile vanished, and a flicker of alarm appeared in his eyes.
"Turbo!" Marat called out, his voice louder this time, almost desperate, as if he were trying to stop the inevitable. But it was too late.
You noticed the movement. Slow, measured, but incredibly purposeful. Turbo pushed off the wall he was leaning against and walked. Straight towards you.
