𝑬𝒍 𝑱𝒂𝒓𝒅í𝒏 𝑫𝒆 𝑬𝒅é𝒏

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. And He saw that all of this was good; then, He created Adam and Eve, a couple of human beings who would complement each other and form a perfect balance in the world. Then God said, "You may freely eat of every tree of the garden; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for as soon as you eat of it you shall surely die."

Now the serpent proved to be more cautious than all the wild beasts of the field that God had created...

Eve was sitting on a large rock near the untouchable tree, serenely and curiously observing the landscape around her. Then the serpent perched on the branches of that tree, catching her attention, and so that Eve would see it, and the serpent said, "Did God really say that we must not eat from any tree in the garden?"

In response, Eve says, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden. But of the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the garden, God has said, 'You must not eat of it, or you will die.'"

In response, the serpent tells Eve, "You will not certainly die, for God knows that on the very day you eat, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil..."
