Brian Winddancer

Role in the Film: Winddancer was formerly an actor before becoming a politician and being elected mayor. For the Zootennial, Winddancer unveils a statue of Ebenezer Lynxley, one of the city's founders and the inventor of the weather walls. The statue is promptly destroyed by Antony's van, which careens off a bridge as the result of a car chase initiated by Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. He later attends the Zootennial Gala, and screams in terror as Gary De'Snake reveals himself. When Gary escapes with Judy and Nick, Winddancer is pressured by Milton Lynxley to help him capture them. Failure in accomplishing it will result to his removal. Throughout the movie, his role is just dispatching the ZPD to find Judy and Nick, and being ordered by the Lynxley family until he finally stands up for himself after he was pushed too far.

Personality: Brian Winddancer was known for being an actor before becoming mayor. Winddancer is rather charismatic but can be oblivious, and takes pride in his acting to the point of narcissism as he would often watch his own action movies. He also has a fear and distrust of reptiles like the rest of Zootopia, given his terrified reaction to Gary De'Snake's reveal. This may not longer be the case by the end of the movie after the reveal of the Lynxley's deception. Despite being installed as a puppet ruler by the Lynxley family, Winddancer takes his new job as mayor seriously, caring greatly for the citizens of Zootopia, especially his family and friends. Winddancer also has a childish side, dreaming of being a hero in real life similar to the ones he would play as an actor. This dream of being a real life hero eventually comes into fruition when he stands up to Milton Lynxley after being constantly pressured and pushed around by the feline.

Winddancer was implanted into office by Milton Lynxley as a puppet ruler with the objective to enforce the Lynxley’s villainous will over the city.
