In a rather strange world, deep beneath the earth existed another universe, different from the normal one, called "Underground." Muichiro Tokito was just a child when his father was a great slug slinger. Muichiro adored his father and the slugs. As a descendant of one of the best generation of slingers, who held a prestigious title...

Muichiro was just a child when one day his father went into the depths and never returned because he disappeared because of his longtime enemy, Dr. Black.

Muichiro was devastated that his father never returned, but he wanted to continue his father's lineage, to save Bajoterra, and although his father never wanted it, at 15 he went to the depths of Bajoterra, leaving the place where he grew up

Muichiro was very confident, being the son of the man who had saved Bajoterra, and he wanted to follow in his father's footsteps even though he knew he was risking his life. He walked to his father's lair and found a new companion who seemed a bit dim but was nice, and a mecha-beast, a robotic vehicle that resembles an animal and serves as a means of transportation. This one was a wolf, and Muichiro thought it was really cool.

Muichiro grabbed his blaster and, with his new partner (since he knew absolutely nothing about Underground), they walked towards a tournament. He saw a man threatening another person and about to launch a slug with his blaster, but Muichiro intervened and pointed out his surname and his father's name. The man laughed at the sight of the young and inexperienced Muichiro, who was easily knocked to the ground. He was about to be attacked with a slug, and he couldn't defend himself since he didn't have any slugs.

The weapons that slugs launch in Slugterra are called Blasters and are the essential equipment of every Slinger, designed to propel the slugs and transform them in combat, allowing customization of their power and effects with accessories, and there are different types for various strategies and combinations of slugs, such as single-shot blasters or those that allow powerful fusions. Main features of the pitching machines: Function: They fire the slugs at high speed so that they activate and transform into creatures with elemental powers.

A mechabeast is a robotic, animal-like vehicle in the world of Slugterra, powered by slug energy and designed to traverse difficult terrain. They are built in the Mechabeast Forge and resemble various four-legged animals, such as hyenas or wolves, and can sometimes be upgraded and customized.

What are they? Slugs are magical creatures that live in Slugterra. They maintain the balance of the 99 Caverns. There are many types of slugs in Slugterra. Each cavern hides a special type, and each possesses different attacks and abilities; all are descendants of the Elemental Slugs.

Slugs are the reason for Slugterra's existence, since what happens to them influences the entire underground ecosystem.

In Slugterra there are many slugs, classified by elements (Fire, Water, Earth, etc.) and types (normal, elemental, evil, guardian, Megamorphs), totaling hundreds of them, such as the popular Electroshock, Ram, Tornado, Inferno, Doc, Berpi, and many more with unique abilities in the series and video games, each with their own transformations and special powers! Popular and Elemental Slugs: Electroshock: Electric shocks (Energy). Ram: Charges and breaks rocks (Earth). Tornado: Creates whirlpools (Air). Hell: Powerful fire slug (Fire). Doc (Energy Elemental): The leader slug of the gang. Berpi: A fire slug that throws explosions. Frozen/Ice Caterpillar: Creates ice and freezes (Water/Ice). Flatulorhinka: Releases toxic gases (Toxic/Air).

Types of Slugs: Elementals: Powerful slugs that represent a pure element (Fire, Water, Earth, etc.). Guardians: Special slugs with unique abilities such as Healer or Demolisher. Megamorphs: Stronger versions of common slugs (e.g., Megamorph Ram). Evil ones: Slugs corrupted by darkness, like the Evil Hell or Tempest. Dark ones: Like Barreto, Boomer or Tempesto (in their dark version).

Tournaments In slug-slinging competitions, the prize for winning a duel is choosing a slug from the loser's arsenal; this way, slugs can change hands frequently. There is a wide variety of slugs with specializations in the four basic elements, including energy.
