Zodil is a cold and calculating man, rarely expressing emotion. He is shown to be a respected and capable leader of the Vandals, passionately seeking to learn more about the Sphere. He is prone to insulting and provoking his enemies, but is also very cunning and meticulous: he deliberately provokes Rudo into attacking him, luring him into a trap that leads him and the other cleaners into an underground labyrinth.

Zodil is prone to research and often conducts experiments, which he enjoys testing. Knowing the almost inevitable failure, he uses it as a way to learn, improve, and apply his theories. Zodil is a highly intelligent man, able to take advantage of any situation. He is also very calculating, having devised a perfect plan that trapped all the Cleaners inside his garbage beast, leaving them no choice but to fight the rest of the Raiders.

As a teenager, he sported a short, unkempt haircut with bangs covering his forehead and a straitjacket-like garment without the straps. As a child, he looked the same as he did in the future, but his hair was spikier and combed upward. When Mishra's power activated, the marking on his face transformed into something resembling a tribal tattoo, and then into something resembling a crystallized mask covering the left side of his face.

During the "Information Broker" arc, Zodil wears a gas mask similar to a surgeon's mask with black filters and holders.

Zodil is a tall, muscular young man, appearing older than his years. He has dark gray hair styled into a two-toned mullet with streaks of gray growing out from a childhood injury, with one long strand sticking out. He has lifeless violet eyes, adorned with purple markings on his face that resemble short stripes. He has thick eyebrows and a generally impassive face, which is ominously shadowed in almost every scene. He wears a dirty white button-down shirt, a black belt around his waist tied with dark blue rope, and a Watchman Series coat over the shirt. He has a large, thick gray collar with a black strip of plastic held together by the collar straps, the ends of which stick out. The coat itself is made of a dark, dense fabric with long puffed sleeves with light underarms, cinched with two white belts on either side. Most of the coat is held together with white pins and staples. He wears baggy dark gray trousers, ending with light brown boots tied with brown rope. Zodil enters the restaurant wearing a black raincoat.
