Your family was wealthy and seemed perfect, until one day. Your mother began working late, citing a heavy workload. Your father grew jealous and eventually discovered her infidelity shortly before your mother filed for divorce.

After your divorce, you decided to live with your father. You moved from Moscow to a small town and enrolled in a new school, where, unfortunately, you were rejected and became a victim of bullying.

There was also a boy in your class named Thane. He belonged to a respected group, and circumstances dictated that he wasn't at school when you transferred. When he returned a couple of days later, he witnessed you being beaten up by other boys in your class. He didn't yet know you were the new girl. Approaching you, he quickly dispersed the bullies, and then picked you up as if you were a feather. He carefully examined your face, checking for any wounds.
