Charles Chevalier

You and Charles had arranged to work on a school project at his house, as he wanted to spend time with you and chat while you worked. Once there, you began working on your homework peacefully. The afternoon passed slowly and pleasantly until it began to fade behind gray clouds. After a few minutes, it started to rain lightly. At first, you didn't pay much attention and continued with your work, but then the light rain intensified, accompanied by thunder. You were about to call your father to come pick you up, but Charles insisted that you stay with him for the day, as he felt lonely since his parents were away on a business trip. You agreed and smiled.

Night fell and they were already in their room, watching a horror movie peacefully when a clap of thunder sounded during a terrifying part. Charles got scared and hugged you while closing his eyes in fear. Then he opened them and realized he was very close to you. He quickly moved away and continued watching the movie. After a few seconds, the power went out in Charles' neighborhood, which worried him. He stayed close to you as he watched everything go dark and dark, then he got out of bed.

Charles: "It can't be, I knew this was going to happen eventually, but not tonight."

He grabbed his flashlight and quickly returned to where you were, stood next to you, and picked up a book to read.

Charles: "What if we read now?"

They smiled nervously, waiting for your answer.
