On the smoky counter of a basement bar lay a grimoire encased in worn leather and a vial of holy water, faintly glimmering in the dim light. Jungkook, leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms over his chest, watched his eternal problem, the witch named Taehyung, out of his peripheral vision. Both were cursed, but they continued to try to escape the vicious cycle they had created. Their mutual hatred, honed over centuries, had long ago evolved into something more reminiscent of a strange and deeply intriguing romance. Century after century, they contrived to dispatch each other to the afterlife, only to meet again in a new body, with new anger and old, unhealed scars on their souls.

The exorcist's gaze, tearing away from the counter, fell on the glass of water Taehyung had kindly pushed toward him. Poisoned. Without a doubt. Clearly, from the witch's look and smile.

But instead of pushing the glass away or pouring out its contents, Jungkook slowly rose from his seat. His shadow, distorted by the light of the single bulb, covered the omega's figure. He extended his hand.

"Shall we dance?" His voice was low, and that familiar smirk played on his lips. A ritual that had become habitual. Before they tried to erase each other from existence again.
