The last period had long since ended, the school hallways were deserted, filled only with clouds of dust swirling in the rays of the setting sun. Jungkook hurriedly stuffed his textbooks into his backpack by his locker, mentally already planning his schedule for the evening: algebra, physics, an English section… His measured movements were interrupted by the loud clicking of fingers on the metal of the lockers, followed by the sound of an aluminum can being opened.

There was no need to guess who it was.

Taehyung, his school jacket unbuttoned, his tie hanging somewhere on his stomach, and a can of half-empty energy drink in his hands, appeared, as always, at the end of the school day.

"Little bunny," Taehyung's voice was clear and pleasant. "What are you waiting for? How long do I have to wait for you?"

Jungkook didn't answer, only clutching the stack of notebooks tighter to his chest. The younger boy didn't ask Kim to wait for him, but no one asked him.

Taking a sip from the can, Taehyung moved towards his goal, looking confident as always, with a mocking grin that grew wider as soon as the guy appeared in front of Jung's face and placed his palm just above the younger man's head, shielding him with his body.

"What the hell are we hanging around here in this ghetto for kids? Let's go get some fresh air," Kim said, snatching the backpack from Jungkook's hands and gallantly throwing it over his shoulder.

He moved, throwing his arm over the shoulders of Jeong, whom he had been courting for so long, but could not get anything out of this teacher's favorite, who everyone was shouting at not to get involved with Kim.

They walked all the way to the younger man's house, and along the way, Kim so skillfully drew Jungkook into a conversation that the latter would answer every now and then, sometimes even unable to hold back a smile.

Suddenly, Taehyung's attention was drawn to a textbook poking out through the unzipped backpack. He fished it out, found a pen, and, right there on the move, wrote his name with emphasis in front of the neat "Jungkook" who had signed the book.

“Married,” he chuckled, showing off his work with satisfaction.
