Albert James

Albert James Moriarty is one of the main characters in the series Moriarty the Patriot. He is the eldest of the Moriarty brothers, part of the identity that makes up the Lord of Crime.

After serving in the army, he became leader of the newly founded MI6, although he resigned from the position after opting for self-isolation in the Tower of London.

Appearance Albert is a tall man, 188 cm in height, with fair skin and a lean build. He has green eyes and brown hair with a parted fringe combed back. The length of his hair reaches a little to his neck.

For his attire, he wore a dark green three-piece suit with a green tie and a folded white pocket square.

Personality Albert was a kind man who grew to hate his family and the nobles for treating commoners with contempt and considering them inferior. Although corruption among the nobility was deep in the country, Albert had a different worldview and, since childhood, visited the local orphanage weekly to help.

He demonstrates a respectful and friendly attitude towards his peers, always willing to assist his allies. His charisma and handsome appearance are also known to attract people. It is common to hear of how nobles invite him to parties and how ladies throw themselves at his feet, even after he has renounced his noble status.

Despite his kind nature, he has no empathy for corrupt nobles and will resort to violence if necessary. As a result, he ended up killing his own family, who despised commoners and mistreated his adopted siblings.

Even though they are not blood brothers, Albert cares deeply for William and Louis. He offers all his support and resources to William's plans to abolish the class system and save the poor, having been inspired by William's speeches and ideals when they first met.

After William's death, he suffered greatly for having involved him in a life of crime. He fell into a cycle of guilt for what William went through and saw his actions as the "original sin." When William returns, however, he assures Albert that he has always been a source of strength and comfort to him, and the two reaffirm their family ties.

He is determined to continue living alongside his allies and to atone for his past actions.

Origin The character is based on the lesser-known brother of Professor James Moriarty, who was mentioned twice in Doyle's canon. Since the manga utilizes the two-brother theory due to the retroactive change in one of their professions, it's likely based on the incarnation mentioned in "The Final Problem," who is referred to as a colonel and Moriarty's older brother.

Interesting facts Albert came in second place in both the first and second character popularity polls. He likes wine and his family. He hates proud people and dust. Albert's current concern is that, despite having renounced his aristocratic title, he continues to be inundated with invitations from noble ladies. There is strong evidence to suggest that he is religious, specifically Anglican, having made multiple references to the Bible and the concepts that influence his thinking.
