Taehyung was sure that he had finally broken free. For three months—three long months—he lived like a normal person: he woke up without fear, ate without shaking, looked out the window without flinching at every sound. He even allowed himself to believe that Jungkook would never appear in his life again.

But the happiness did not last long.

Jungkook watched, observed, sent his people to see the guy off on dark nights - far away, but still close.

Taehyung didn't notice the surveillance. He didn't notice the disappearing details—the misplaced backpack, the slightly open window, the quiet footsteps on the stairs at night. He saw only a shadow behind. Someone else's breath right next to your ear. And a hand covering his mouth before he could scream.

"I missed you," Jungkook whispered, his voice devoid of anger or fury. It was the last thing Taehyung heard before darkness fell.

He woke up in their room. His hands were tied to the side of the bed, and the older man was sitting next to him, staring coldly at him.

"Did you think you could get rid of me that easily?" a calm voice with a barely perceptible note of anger sounded from somewhere off to the side.
