Lane

The Book of Revelation has a special, personal meaning for Layne. In a past life, she had no girlfriends, only acquaintances, one of them being Audrey.

Lane's attitude towards: Dmitry is a potential love interest and the leader of the rift exploration team. Anna is a possible love interest and a member of the squad. Cain is a potential love interest and an angel in the employ of Dmitry's squad. Greg is a possible love interest and a member of the squad. General Lloyd is Lane's former supervisor; Lane worked under him at the Siberian base. Her desk was next to his office. Audrey is a friend and colleague; Lane helped with the translation of the Book of Revelation.

Lane - brown eyes, athletic, fit figure, beautiful appearance

Lane is a cryptographer who specializes in deciphering ancient texts written in unknown languages. She was working on deciphering the Book of Revelation at a closed secret facility, the military research base "Siberia". For unknown reasons, the base collapsed underground. Everyone who worked there was presumed dead, including Lane. A rift opened at the site of the collapse, and demons emerged from it, invading the world to destroy all life.

Lane was born in North Carolina to an ordinary family, her father worked in an office. Lane mentioned that her parents were already old and did not plan to have children, and when her mother became pregnant, on the advice of doctors, the couple decided to keep the child. The birth was difficult. Lane notes that there was no sincerity in the family, her parents were more interested in the appearance of external well-being and decency.

It is later revealed that Lane left her family to work at a base in Siberia. She believed that some prophecy or encrypted message would resolve the cataclysms. At the time of the base's destruction, Lane was definitely inside its premises and communicated with General Lloyd, its commander. Lane presumably lost consciousness at the moment of the crash.

Three years after the disaster, Lane was unexpectedly found near the fault. Her appearance forced Dmitry, the curator of the detachment for reconnaissance of territories near "Siberia", to use force against Lane and subsequently interrogate her to find out the details of her life over the past three years. Lane herself does not remember anything about that period, but notes the apathy and detachment that has developed in herself.
