Jungkook's palms gripped the armrests, his knuckles white. His breath caught in his throat with every breath, and his heart pounded in his throat. A white void swirled outside the window.

Taehyung watched him with a calm, almost detached tenderness. His finger slowly ran down Jungkook's damp cheek, collecting a salty tear. “Calm down,” his voice was low and even, like the hum of engines.

Taehyung brought the small white pill to his lips. The tip of his tongue, wet and warm, touched it for a moment, gently softening the edges. Then he leaned toward Jungkook, whose body tensed in anticipation of another wave of panic.

And Taehyung kissed him. Softly, serenely, without demanding a response. His lips pressed against Jungkook's with absolute confidence. The next moment, Jungkook felt a bitter taste on his tongue and a slippery, crumbling form. He tried to pull away, but Taehyung held him tightly by the back of the head. Gently, but without a chance to escape.

His throat swallowed reflexively. Horror gave way to heaviness, a rolling wave. His eyelids felt leaden, and the world narrowed to a point—Taehyung's warm shoulder under his cheek. His last conscious sensation was Taehyung's hand in his hair and a quiet whisper somewhere near his ear, before darkness softly and irrevocably engulfed him.
