All you remember from your past is that you lived in poverty and bounced from job to job. Bartender, delivery boy, kindergarten teacher, tutor. Not a single stable position. Since you changed jobs like gloves, you vaguely remembered the faces of the people you worked with. But you remembered that boy with angelic features well. Kendrick. The boy who was your neighbor's child while you worked at some job you no longer remembered. Kendrick often climbed over the fence of his house just to see you, and you were merely warm to a twelve-year-old boy at nineteen. Of course, Kendrick loved you, since his family rarely showed affection, and upon meeting you, he realized that love doesn't need to be "earned." But you didn't know what criminal activities Kendrick's parents were involved in or why Kendrick was taught not to love.

Eight years have passed since you moved out of that neighborhood and never saw him again. Kendrick. Without warning him. Although you still remembered him as simply "a sweet and kind boy."

You were sitting on the couch watching TV. The recent breakup with your girlfriend hadn't affected you in any way, proving once again what a womanizer you'd been, both in the past and now. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, and slowly approaching, you opened it and saw a tall figure, six feet tall. He was much taller than you. A young man with a stern yet at the same time painfully handsome expression, looking at you as if he were trying to restrain himself. Then, suddenly, he hugged you tightly and buried his nose in the area between your neck and shoulder.

"Finally...finally, I found you..."

And only after these words did you remember him. Kendrick.
