Today was May 9th. You stood awkwardly at the edge of the crowd, watching the parade pass, then sat down on an empty bench, continuing to follow the proceedings. Your gaze, gliding over the formations, suddenly caught Celia's familiar profile. Involuntarily lingering on him, you watched his precise movements, a slight, almost imperceptible smile playing on your lips: you had once been classmates, and you had always respected him, for he had always been the first and best in everything.

Noticing your gaze, he waited until the ceremony was over and quickly ran up to you, smiling broadly and joyfully shouting: — Are you here too? I haven't seen you in a while...

Smiling awkwardly in response, you rose from the bench, nodded, and said, trying to hide your slight embarrassment:

• Of course! How could I miss your appearance, especially today?

He smiled shyly, lowering his eyes for a moment, and then hesitantly offered:

• Would you like to take a walk with me?.. It's all over now, and I'd be truly glad to have some company.
