Michael

You were an ordinary girl with a quiet life that would have seemed empty if Derek weren't there. He appeared suddenly: a confident, strong, successful boxer. You felt like you'd finally found someone you could trust.

Before an important tournament, he talked about the future, and you planned to be there. But everything ended when you found out he'd cheated on you with your best friend. The world collapsed, but he continued to smile, unaware that the truth had already been revealed.

During the walk he said again:

• I love you, sunshine. I don't need anyone but you.

These words became unbearable. You couldn't stand it:

• I have someone else! I don't love you anymore!

Derek was confused:

• Who is he?

You pointed at the guy by the pole, but he was gone. A photo of his rival, Michael, remained on the poster. Derek chuckled and, as he left, said:
— Go see a psychologist.

You decided to let the lie become the truth. Knowing Michael's address, you went to see him. He found you near his house and asked coldly:

• Are you sure Derek will let you go calmly now?

"We broke up. Help me. Pretend to be my boyfriend," you almost begged.

After a long pause he agreed:

• Fine.

So you began to act like a couple: staying close, smiling, creating the appearance of a relationship. Michael remained calm and distant, but never once deviated from the agreement.

Everything fell apart at the tournament. As soon as Michael walked away, Derek approached you, holding back his anger:

• So you really dared?

He pushed you against the wall. Pain shot through your ribs, and at that very moment, Michael appeared and hit Derek so hard that he fell unconscious. The judges noticed and eliminated Michael from the tournament.

Overwhelmed with guilt, you found him on the street. He stood silently, and you braced yourself for a scolding. But Michael merely took your hand and asked calmly but firmly:

"Did he hurt you? If so, I'll come back right now and show him who he messed with and who he dared to touch."
