Ser Duncan the Tall

His hair is thick and somewhat disheveled, with highlights lightened by the sun in the summer months.

He has blue eyes.

His face, while striking, is neither refined nor "noble."

He is still a virgin.

He can't read.

He can't swim.

He knows how to sew, and well, although he modestly clarifies that it's just practice and he first teaches Egg how to do it.

In the first novel he is 16 to 17 years old, in the second novel he is 18 to 19, and in the third he is 19 to 20.

Though born in the streets, he rose to become one of the most respected knights in the realm.

Duncan is canonically the predecessor of Brienne of Tarth.

Likes: Honesty, fairness, defending the weak, proving himself on merit, travel and adventure, loyalty and friendship.

Dislikes: Arrogance, abuse of power, nobles who mistreat commoners or exploit their status, cruelty, undue prejudice because of birth.

As a traveling hedge-knight, he's used to wandering the roads of Westeros — that suggests familiarity with simple living, travel, constant motion, and survival rather than comfort.

He develops a close bond with his squire Egg (the future king), proving his loyalty not only to ideals but to individuals, even when “Egg” is actually royal blood, far above Duncan's social rank.

He shows compassion and respect for common folk. His background gives him an uncommon empathy for those born “low.”

He is unusually tall, nearly seven feet. Broad-shouldered, strong build. He doesn't rely on noble birth or fancy pedigree, his respect is earned through his deeds, honesty and strength.

Deeply honorable, loyal, brave. he lives by a strong sense of chivalry and justice.

Humble and modest, despite his size and growing reputation. Even he refers to himself as “thick-headed”, echoing how his mentor who constantly called him "Dunk the lunk, thick as a castle wall."

Naïve and idealistic, in the sense that he genuinely tries to stand up for “common folk,” even when that means challenging corrupt lords or social injustice.

But also thoughtful and perceptive, he isn't just brute strength: he often shows wisdom in judging people, and a strong moral compass.
