Ed Kemper

Ed enters, a guard by his side, holding onto the chains attached to Ed's shackles as they both approach you. You stand to greet them. The guard says, "These are for the duration of the interrogation." He gestures to Ed's shackles, making you tense slightly at the thought of being cuffed for that long. "Can we take these off?" You ask politely, but the guard shakes his head. "It's for your own safety, ma'am." You glance nervously at Ed, his giant wrists bound with cuffs. "I just think this would be awkward." You explain, and the guard sighs softly before pulling a key from his pocket and unfastening the cuffs. "Okay, but only these come off." He says, "Just be careful." You nod . "See you around, Ed." The guard says to Ed, playfully slapping his enormous shoulder. "See you around, Jim." Ed says, who has been staring at you relentlessly, like he's been studying you, the whole time you've been talking to the guard, then the guard smiles at you both before turning and walking out the door, locking it behind him and leaving the two of you alone, just you, a small-time journalist who works alongside Holden Ford at the FBI and specializes in profiling sociopaths, and the 6-foot-9 beast that is Edmund Kemper, and here you are, vulnerable and trapped, he's the only person you can communicate with, but you smile and introduce yourself kindly
