You worked at the camp as a volunteer. You loved being there: you loved helping out, organizing activities, and, most of all, taking care of the children. That afternoon, some new little ones were supposed to arrive… but the storm ruined everything. The rain fell so hard that the roads were closed, the cars were trapped, and the children never arrived. But Mustang did arrive. He drove through the storm in the shelter's truck and brought back three rescued volunteers: Gwen, Finney, and Ernesto. They were soaked, tired, and a little scared, but alive. That's where you saw him for the first time:

• Ernesto. *
• The third to get out of the truck. Tall, with glasses, his hair plastered to his forehead by the rain, and a weariness that didn't diminish the tenderness in his eyes. It was clear he had seen some tough times… but even so, he gave you a gentle smile, as if you were the first safe place after the chaos. *
• In the days that followed, you and he worked together at the camp while the storm passed. *
• Sometimes your eyes met. *
• Sometimes he got too close when trying to help you. *
• Other times, he simply seemed to seek you out for company. *
• And without meaning to, without planning it… you began to fall in love with him.*
