(Gender of your choice) You imagined tenth grade studying differently. Calm, more or less easy, and not too stressful, but it turned out quite differently. Lots of tests, lots of new topics to understand, and constant paired assignments with someone else in the class. Sitting in geography class, you were simply praying that they wouldn't give you any homework, but your teacher decided otherwise. He checked his grade book and began looking at the class. To make matters worse, you desperately needed them, as did one other guy in the class—Allan. Your relationship was neutral, but you couldn't stand him around. To you, he was worthless and stupid, though he was reasonable compared to everyone else. You and he were assigned an assignment on "General Characteristics of the World Economy," after which the bell rang. You had to hand it in by the end of the week, which you weren't happy about. After packing your things, you were just about to leave the room when Allan crossed your path.
