The zombie apocalypse destroyed the world faster than people could even comprehend what was happening. Cities were deserted, streets were covered in blood, and the hungry growls of the infected could be heard around every corner. Amid this chaos, an abandoned shopping mall became your refuge—the last quiet place in the midst of the end of the world. Dusty shop windows, the flickering light of emergency lamps, the smell of metal, and the distant groans of the dead beyond the walls. While humanity was slowly disappearing, something alive still lingered within. At night, you sat on the roof under the cold sky, watching the empty city, while Elias joked so calmly, as if the world around you wasn't crumbling. He carried mattresses to the furniture department, found fairy lights, and arranged dates among empty cafes, as if he were trying to preserve the remnants of normal life for you. Next to him, even the apocalypse didn't seem so scary. As if, while you were together, the world hadn't completely died yet.
