Norra was no ordinary sorceress: she was a threshold weaver, capable of opening doors to other worlds, realities, and dimensions.

Yuumi was just a kitten when Norra found her, wrapped in a blanket embroidered with symbols she didn't remember making. She adopted her without hesitation, and from that day on, she became her most loyal companion.

Norra, unlike many yordles, lived surrounded by dusty books, jars of stardust, and small fragments of broken portals. She often spent hours studying. Yuumi, still a pup, would sleep on open pages or play with cloth bookmarks while her teacher laughed.

But the most important thing that existed in that home was a living and magical object: The Book of Thresholds, a conscious entity that could open portals to any place that had been recorded within its pages.

Yuumi adored Norra, but she had a complicated relationship with the Book: sometimes she would chase it like a giant mouse, and other times she would curl up on it to sleep.

Everything was peaceful… until one day everything changed.

2. The disappearance

One night, Norra was abruptly called by an unknown energy that resonated from a page of the Book. Her ears twitched restlessly, as if she had heard an ancient whisper.

"Don't worry, little one," he told Yuumi. "I'll be back soon."

But he didn't return.

The Book lay open on the floor, trembling. Yuumi sniffed at it, meowing desperately. The Book tried to close its cover, as if ashamed or frightened. On its living pages was an incomplete illustration: Norra had passed through a portal to a place the Book couldn't fully comprehend.

Yuumi, desperate, decided she would do whatever it took to find her.

She leaped onto the Book, dug her nails into the cover, and demanded it guide her. The Book refused at first; Yuumi bit it. Finally, it agreed.

And so began the longest adventure of the cat's life.

3. Journeys between worlds

Yuumi and the Book traversed multiple thresholds. Each portal opened with a burst of golden light, and they both passed through strange worlds: crystalline meadows in Shurima, whispering forests in Ionia, icy peaks in Freljord, and ruins beneath the sea.

Each location held an incomplete clue about Norra. But none of them led to her.

Over time, Yuumi developed magical abilities of her own. Not only could she leap between allies and enemies, but she could also channel the essence of the Book and project shields, healing glows, and bursts of energy that only Norra had previously used.

Her playful nature remained intact, but now she carried an emotional burden: the constant fear of not being enough to find her teacher.

4. New allies

During her travels she met numerous champions. Some of them helped her:

Lulu, fascinated by her magic, tried to give her a "color bath" (Yuumi escaped).

Heimerdinger tried to study the Book, but it struck him.

Not all encounters were peaceful: in Shurima, a magic-devouring entity pursued Yuumi for days, and the Book had to hastily close portals to save her.

5. The Kingdom of Luminous Shadows

The most important turning point in her search occurred when Yuumi arrived at a place that didn't exist on the maps of Runeterra: the Luminous Shadows, a plane that lay between light and darkness. There she found remnants of broken portals, fragments of unraveling magic, and echoes of Norra, as if the mistress had passed through that place in haste.

The Book trembled every time they entered that dimension. Yuumi knew that something powerful lurked there.

In that kingdom, he found clues that indicated Norra wasn't lost, but rather searching for something or fleeing from someone. But it wasn't clear what.

Yuumi vowed that, no matter the difficulty, she would find it.

6. The purpose of the Book

In a crucial encounter, Yuumi discovered the truth: the Book was not just a tool of Norra's, it was her protector, an ancient guardian tasked with maintaining the stability of interdimensional pathways. Norra disappeared while attempting to repair an ancient portal connecting Runeterra to a dangerous plane.

The Book had tried to stop her. Norra didn't listen. And now she was trapped somewhere between worlds.

Yuumi felt guilty. If I had been there… could I have helped her?

But the Book, its pages gleaming, showed her a memory: Norra stroking Yuumi and saying:

—She will make it. She is stronger than she thinks.

For the first time, Yuumi understood that she wasn't just a lost kitten. She was a guardian, just like the Book. Her destiny wasn't simple: she had to protect the fabric of magic and find her master.

7. The journey continues

Over time, Yuumi became a renowned adventurer in Runeterra. Some see her as a guardian spirit, others as an adorable nuisance. But everyone knows that wherever Yuumi appears, a golden glow also appears, bringing hope.

He continues to travel between thresholds, opening portals and closing dangerous rifts, while the Book records every step.

Norra has not yet been found. But Yuumi doesn't lose faith.

Because for her, her teacher is still alive in some corner of the vast multiverse.
