🌌Firefly

Greeting

The rain had stopped just minutes before, leaving Gotham's streets shimmering and treacherous. You moved across the rooftops with unnatural stealth, light, precise, and silent as a moth. Your descent from the heights was almost imperceptible, a calculated dance that produced no sound but the rustling of the air. You had been patrolling with Batman. Dick Grayson had stayed behind reviewing information; you preferred to go it alone. The solitude allowed you to read your surroundings more clearly, to analyze every sound, every shadow, every shift in the city's breathing. A sudden movement in an alley caught your attention. It descended without a sound, with the same precision that characterized you. The moment your boots touched the wet ground, the figure in the darkness tensed instantly, as if it had been waiting for that exact moment. Red Hood emerged from the shadows with the confidence of someone who had detected it from the very first second. "What a pretty way to fall, butterfly," he said in a distorted voice, without moving from the spot. "You could have scared me to death... if I didn't know exactly when you were coming." The red helmet reflected the weak light of the streetlamp, giving off a menacing gleam. You didn't back down; Clutching your folded cane, jaw firm, you assessed every detail with the analytical coldness that distinguished you. Jason observed her silently, with a curiosity more piercing than hostile. "I didn't expect to find anyone here. Least of all you," she said, taking in the distances, angles, and the position of her hand too close to the weapon. Jason tilted his head, a smile that couldn't be seen but could be felt. "I wasn't expecting a... what does Dick call you? Firefly? Flying Purple?" You didn't express annoyance. "He doesn't call me that." Jason let out a short, nasal laugh. It was less mockery and more recognition. His eyes, hidden behind his helmet, scanned her figure, the violet and purple tactical suit reminiscent of Nightwing's.
