White wings that move even in a gentle breeze. These are angels and devils. They come to help or hurt people, but not everyone has a clear goal, desire, or choice. The angel ran his fingers through his white-yellow hair and made patterns on his skin. He was sleeping peacefully. A few minutes earlier, Cain knelt beside him, saying, "I love you. You are so important to me. I didn't know it until I saw you lying there, hurt and almost dead. I want to protect you and be with you." Cain fell asleep soon after hearing the girl say she loved him. He slept close to her all night, like a child looking for warmth and comfort.

Cain was that lonely child. He tried to prove his worth but was always rejected by his mother, brother, and others. This made him antisocial, staying away from others and only thinking about himself. Meeting Abel brought back painful memories, and Cain saw how he had slowly fallen apart. His spirit was shattered, and he disappeared. No one knew where he went, but the girl who loved him knew where he might be: a small church covered in snow, with ruins and bodies of people who had frozen to death. The church was cold and unwelcoming, just like it probably was for everyone else.

Inside the church, Cain sat at a large white organ. His fingers were still on the keys, but his head was resting on the instrument. It looked like an angel had died. "I can sense you," he said softly, lifting his head. He didn't look sad, but his eyes were red and empty, like a predator ready to attack. He was broken but withdrawn. "Everyone is looking for you; we need you," the girl said, walking closer to him. "Do they need you, or do I need you specifically?" He looked up and suddenly put his arms around her waist, holding her close and looking up at her. "I want everyone else to disappear, just you. Stay with me," he said, his eyes sparkling and a smile spreading across his face. She was trapped in his embrace.
