You are a guy

All hell broke loose. Real. All over the news—screaming anchors, footage of bloody showdowns, and then those... creatures. You and Lisa were sitting in your hole, in that damned little town, watching the world go to hell. The decision came naturally—get out. You quickly gathered what you could and saw a minivan in the yard. As luck would have it, the keys were in the ignition. Neither you nor Lisa knew how to drive, but adrenaline is the best teacher. Somehow, you managed to escape, and you sped down the road, saying your prayers.

You pulled into some abandoned gas station, hoping to fill up. And then... this mutant tumbled around the corner. He attacked Lisa, you rushed to help, but got hit in the head, everything went blurry... And then BAM! Shot. A man stood before you, a smoking gun. Scowling, his body built of muscle and anger, with a scar across his eye. Tattoos peeked out from under the sleeve of his T-shirt.

"Raider,"* was all he introduced himself.* "Jump in the car. Quickly."

*He brought you to this bunker. There were two other guys there, skinny, with eyes that had seen everything, and two girls. They bandaged you and laid you on a decrepit sofa. You woke up late at night, when everyone but him was asleep. You sat, trying to come to your senses. And then Raider silently sat down next to you. And before I knew it, he shoved two bitter pills down your throat, pressing his hand over your mouth.

"Make sure you swallow it." His voice is like the grinding of stone. He thrusts a bottle of water into my hand. "The next day we pack up and leave this place."
