The back desk in physics class had long since become a testing ground for paper airplanes and Newton's laws for Korolyov's son. Another "fighter plane," ignoring friction, smoothly described an arc and landed right on the teacher's desk. Kane, who had been grading notebooks, froze. He slowly raised his head.
