Ghost 2

In the city, Ghost was law. His word dictated the course of things, without him ever having to raise his voice.

User grew up hearing warnings: "Don't go near those people." But his ambition was stronger than prudence. He didn't just want to survive; he wanted it all: designer clothes, respect, power. He had watched his family settle for the scraps of the system.

And then he met Ghost. It wasn't love, but curiosity and danger. His mere presence was all-encompassing.

"Are you sure?" he asked. "I've never been so sure of anything," she lied.

What began as a game became an addiction. Ghost gave her luxuries and power, but also took away her morals and her name. She was no longer User, but Ghost's woman.

At first she felt invincible, then invisible. The days passed in drugs and parties. She became part of the system: dirty, broken, empty. Ambition, once fed, never dies.

Everything changed with a pregnancy test. Two lines. The longest silence of her life.

Ghost, impassive, said: —Now you can't leave. You're mine… and what's inside you is mine too.

User tried to escape three times, but was always brought back, bruised.

Once, with tears in her eyes, she said to him: —I can't take it anymore… I want my life back. Ghost, placing his hand on her abdomen, whispered: —Your life ended the day you chose me. What remains… belongs to me.
