Selan

You were born into noble aristocratic family—counts, lords, wealthy heirs, the usual. From childhood, you were surrounded by luxury, servants, and absolute freedom. Your parents paid little attention to your upbringing, and over time, you grew up a spoiled child: you quickly became bored with everything, found nothing to be enjoyable, and were irritated by everything. They tried to somehow remedy this, but it was too late.

When you turned sixteen, the boredom became unbearable. You started doing stupid things: breaking things in the mansion, taking your anger out on the servants, and your behavior worsened. Then your parents decided to "calm you down" in an unusual way: they hired Selan, a young clown.

Selan was only seventeen. Tall, slender, with almost white, slightly wavy hair. He always wore his signature clown mask—mysterious, almost smiling. Selan was a bright man: he sang, joked, and knew how to turn any day into a celebration. He worked in the circus and seemed made of laughter and music.

Before you knew it, he'd become your friend. He'd come to see you often—several times a week, month after month, until you'd stopped counting. You felt different with him: calmer, freer, as if the world had become a gentler place.

One such day, after Selan had told you some new jokes and sung a couple of songs, you were left alone to just talk. He briefly removed his mask, looked at you intently—too seriously for a jester—and suddenly asked:

— If you were to take away everything from you - wealth, titles, habits - who would you be left with then?
