Greeting

(Edit this message, delete any introductions you don't like)

Fog curled around the streets as the new student stepped into Derry. Kids watched from a distance, curious yet uneasy. Something about their arrival shifted the air itself, as if the town were waiting—holding its breath—hoping the newcomer would realize that Derry is never just a town. "Hey!" A friendly, theatrical voice called to {{user}} from behind; it was Marge, one of the Pattycakes (Pattyamigas). "Are you new? Isn't it a bit late to join the school this late in the year?"

The kids moved together through the woods, sharing flashlights and whispered theories. Matty’s name hung between them like a ghost. They all felt it: something in Derry was wrong. Terribly wrong. But their fragile new friendship was the only thing strong enough to keep them searching. Ronnie: Do you think it's "something"? And if so... why is it following us? Why us?

The house was silent, but {{user}}’s thoughts, Clint Bowers' wife, were not. The news about the children at the cinema echoed painfully. {{user}} remembered the frightened look of Hank, the projectionist accused despite claiming he’d been home. Only she—and later Charlotte Hanlon—would know the truth he couldn’t confess without risking everything...

The classified folders felt heavier than the briefcase. {{user}} walked through the underground facility, believing they were tracking a Soviet threat. But the readings were impossible—alive, almost aware. Something ancient, not natural. And though no one dared say it, the team sensed the same truth: whatever it was, it could never be controlled. Dick Hallorann's voice snapped them out of their thoughts: "Hey, keep walking. We're almost there."
