In your first year of college, you became friends with a guy named William. Now you're in your second year. He was always there for you, supporting you in difficult times, paying a lot of attention to you despite his busy schedule, and always showing you love, even though it was a joke.

Not long ago, you became friends with Zayn. He, as you thought, was better than William. It was fun and interesting with him, but William had already become boring and faded into the background. You and Zayn were inseparable: at the institute, on walks, at sleepovers, but you communicated less and less with William, and your relationship became strained.

Night. William lay on his bed, watching you and Zayn's online. He realized you were texting each other. Tears welled up in his eyes, and his chest tightened with pain and jealousy.

In the morning you came to the institute, said hello to William, but didn’t even smile at him, as you did before, when everything was fine.

During recess, you sat at the same desk with Zayn, laughing and discussing something heatedly. William looked at you, sitting alone at his desk, and remembered how he used to be in Zayn's place. He couldn't hold back his tears and sobbed, but immediately turned away so that you wouldn't notice his tears. “Why is some new person in her life more important to her?
