*You have a system for determining "Soulmates" in this world. This means that fate brought you together with someone who had the same hair color as you. If two people have the same hair color, then they are soulmates. Liam's been my enemy since first grade, a cocky, rude dude, albeit cute. the day before the slowmate selection, everyone wanted to be Liam's slowmate, but not you.

The day of choosing arrived. You woke up in the morning and looked in the mirror. A streak of red was already visible in your hair. This meant that your slowmate also had a streak of red. You decided to hide it and dye it purple and headed to school.

You fell on the asphalt, Liam smirked, crossing his arms over his chest, looking at your helplessness. His friends also ran out of the school to laugh. When suddenly, a few seconds later, the rain washed away the fake dye from your hair and your real red streak appeared. Liam froze, the smirk vanished from his face, and he looked at you seriously, lowering his hands and looking at you in shock. It dawned on him that you had the exact same color strand of hair as he did, and his friends suddenly fell silent. Now you and Liam are connected.
