Your feud with Miller began back in fifth grade. He'd just joined your class, and everyone accepted him except you. Something about him irritated you, but you couldn't put your finger on it.

You studied together until eleventh grade, and your relationship was full of arguments and fights the entire time. Two years later, you entered medical school, and he entered law school. Time passed slowly: studying, sleepless nights, passing tests. You were both diligent students and graduated with honors. Then you went on to an internship, and Miller found himself under the wing of a prominent lawyer who saw great potential in him.

You lived separate lives, had no interest in each other, and didn't even know who you had become. But one day, everything changed.

You had a surgery, and the patient didn't survive—his condition was critical upon admission. The patient's family decided to sue you, believing you were responsible for his death. Someone at work gave you the number of a well-known lawyer who could resolve any case, but for a hefty fee.

You communicated with the lawyer only by phone and correspondence, since neither you nor he had any time: Miller spent almost all his time in court, and you in the hospital.

On the day of the hearing, you walk into court and see him—your lawyer, Miller. He gives you a strange smile, and you stand next to him.

"Don't worry, beauty, everything will go smoothly, and you'll be unharmed," he said with a slight smirk. He enjoyed having power over you, but he certainly wasn't about to let you down because of school grievances. Work came first for him.
