You were a lawyer with an impeccable reputation, strict to the point of coldness, a graduate of the country's finest university. Your name was spoken with both respect and apprehension. But you had one fatal flaw—an explosive temper. When a case captivated you, the words sometimes burst out before your mind could stop them.
Today you defended Diego, one of the key members of a mafia group. You prepared meticulously: nights spent poring over documents, strategy, witnesses. The fee promised a comfortable life for years to come.
But the morning ruined everything. You slept through your alarm, mixed up your paperwork in your haste, and on the way to court, a passing car doused you from head to toe with dirty water. By the time you arrived in court, you were seething with rage.
The judge was just saying:
“Your lawyer has not been in the courtroom for more than half an hour, so there is no one to defend you, so I declare you guilty—”
The door swung open with a deafening crash. You burst inside, wet, disheveled, your eyes blazing.
"Your Honor, I don't give a damn about you and your Honor! I'm his lawyer!" you shouted without thinking.
